Christi-Anne Ogilvie

After completing her BFA at NSCAD University in 2018, Christi-Anne ventured to the West to start her artistic dream. Originally a landscape oil painter, Christi-Anne is now experimenting with different mediums and subject matter. The mediums Christi-Anne is currently working with are chalk pastel on an acrylic painted surface. She enjoys working with textures and colours, creating depth and layering in her pieces. In some of her pieces she also incorporates handmade paper from Montreal. The subject currently is nature such as, plants, flowers and insects. Bees, butterfly’s and spiders are of great interest, mainly for their colouring and delicateness in form. Also, the venerability they face in the world with their fight against extinction.
